Hi and welcome! My name is Clare and I am a multi-genre photographer and lover of coffee and cake!

My love for photography spans many years from following my father around the country to get that perfect shot for his local camera club competition! This must have been the spark that lit the fuse for what my passion is today.

I was born and grew up in South Lincolnshire on the Leicestershire, Rutland border, moving down to Somerset when I was 21 to work on the Naval Base at Yeovilton.

During the 14 years I lived and worked there I met my husband who farmed in the Chalke Valley between Shaftesbury and Salisbury.

We then briefly moved to Surrey for my husband to work on another farm.

My heart has always been in the Highlands of Scotland. From as early as I can remember we went on holiday up there with my grandparents and then I was fortunate enough to carry out my work experience on an estate just outside Pitlochry.

We decided that if it didn’t work out in Surrey then we’d do what I wanted to do next.....so we moved here to the Outer Hebrides!

In June 2020 (probably the worst time) I took the plunge and launched C. Wigfield Photography and started by attending Salisbury Art Scenes outdoor events.

I started by just selling my greetings cards which were a huge hit. This then progressed into fine art prints and now in 2024 I am launching my homeware range....exciting (but nervous) times!

I photograph with both digital and analogue cameras. I currently use Canon DSLRs and also my fathers Olympus OM-2 35mm analogue camera, which is the camera I learnt with. I have also inherited my great, great, great aunts Kodak Brownie 120mm.

Head to my Events page to see where I am around Lewis and Harris during 2024....it's going to be a busy one!
